Project Summary

The City of Toronto selected Rose Technology to implement an energy retrofit project for over 100 recreational centre facilities.
These energy intensive facilities range from small outdoor ice rinks to large multi-use recreation centres that encompass public swimming pools, recreational centres, theaters, libraries and gymnasiums.
In addition to lighting, Ice-Plant Controls and a variety of other measures, the retrofits included solar energy pre-heat of water for pools (above) at three of the facilities. This $9,900,000 project is significant as it represents the largest single arena and recreation centre performance contract in North America and the largest performance contract that the City of Toronto has ever entered into.
